Mocks ‘N More

About Us

Our business is focused on bringing forth food from the sea to feed people. We’re starting in the the Dominican Republic, because this island nation has virtually turned its back on the ocean as a means to feed its population. Our other location is Minnesota, USA.

Unlike another island nation, Japan, the Dominican Republic consumes a diet higher than necessary in carbohydrate, which is often the route many people take when experiencing poverty. Even in America this is the case, because processed foods with higher carbs are less expensive, and when the budget is tight, the children’s stomachs still must be filled.

We seek to educate the population throughout the Caribbean on the virtues and values of a healthier diet, consisting of Mussels, Oysters, Clams, Kelp and Scallops, or MOCKS, where they exist, and also Seaweed.

Here are some examples of videos on this subject that we have found so far:

Friend Shawn A. Towle to see it.

Here is some anecdotal information from our founder Shawn Towle:

This is for anyone who wants to lose weight, has high blood pressure, has high cholesterol, and maybe even type II Diabetes.

I am in the Caribbean, in the Dominican Republic, and I have great information to share.

I spent two months here and lost 25 pounds, and I feel great.

But that said, I ran out of most of my drugs I take for high cholesterol, type II Diabetes, and high blood pressure. Afterward, my blood pressure was down to almost normal, my cholesterol reading good and my A1C is on a downward trajectory, and other than a change in temperature, more swimming and walking, there is only one other variable: I’d been eating what some call “vegetarian caviar” or “sea grapes”, but I call it Emerald Caviar.

Truthfully, not in large quantities, but frequently. If this has changed me this significantly, it might be something everyone should incorporate into their diet.

I have shown this algae earlier in a video, but that was before my miraculous changes.

I started this business, Mocks and More, to explore the potential of this substance, and also will be using the Contained Solutions LLC to create new enclosed fisheries here in the DR and throughout the Caribbean.

In each endeavor, there are investment opportunities available, but specifically, when I learned the overwhelming majority of fish served in the hotels and restaurants was frozen, I was shocked.

Why would an island nation need to ship in fish? They have a 200 mile fishing zone as does every sovereign nation around the globe (if they border an ocean, anyway).

Why has the Dominican Republic turned its back on the ocean? I’m not sure when, but they did it decades ago.

I will have a report on the testing for heavy metals, and hopefully a nutritional breakdown as well. But I can say personally, I think this really is something worth exploring further.

There are 30,000 types of seaweed in the world, and 15,000 types are considered edible, but you have to find them. There was a recent report on brown seaweed, of which there are 1400 varieties, which discussed the benefit of eating it, and a causal relationship with Type II Diabetes improvement. It’s clear to me that scuba divers go down to sea fish, mammals and crustaceans, and the plants are the background. I want to pull it into the foreground.

Del Mar A Tu Mesa is my slogan for both Mocks and More as well as Contained Solutions LLC.

As a child I wanted to be Jacques Cousteau, but as an adult, I’m adding Norman Borlaug to the mix.

If I can change the diet of this nation to that of Japan then they’ll be healthier and a new industry can emerge – or perhaps an old industry can simply be reborn.

I will say it again.
